My Comments:
This Compaq ProLiant 800 server has two CPU slots on the motherboard, giving it the option to be a dual-processor system if the second CPU socket is utilized.
Windows 2000 Advanced Server detected the 12/24 GB DAT tape drive without having to install additional drivers and used it for its internal backup service.
I was surprised to find this Pentium III server did not have USB support by default. I added a PCI USB 2.0 expansion card to give this server USB support.
This system was donated to Dan's 20th Century Abandonware by Cruz V. Thanks, Cruz!

My Comments:
When this server was donated to Dan's 20th Century Abandonware, I thought it would be a stripped-down, bare-bones system. I was stunned when I opened the case and saw all the high-quality hardware listed in the features.
After attaching a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, and booting up this system, I was further surprised to discover it still had Microsoft Windows 2000 Server left installed on it. I wiped the system and installed Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
This system was donated to Dan's 20th Century Abandonware by Anthony M. Thanks, Anthony!
