Microsoft Bob error messages

There are many things you can do with Microsoft Bob -- and many things you cannot do with Microsoft Bob. Featured below are some error messages Microsoft Bob generates under certain conditions.

Bob's not running "Bob's Not Running"
If you try to execute a Microsoft Bob application program, such as Bob Calendar, outside Microsoft Bob in Windows 3.1x or Windows 95, this error message will be displayed.

Just as you cannot run Windows Solitaire from a MS-DOS prompt outside of Windows, you cannot run a "Bob program" outside Microsoft Bob's "Bob Home."

Bob resolution error "Bob Resolution Error"
One very nice thing about Windows 95 is it lets you change the video resolution "on the fly" without having to restart Windows the way you do with Windows 3.1x.

Unfortunately, if you change the video resolution while Microsoft Bob is running, Bob can't adjust himself to the new settings "on the fly" like Windows 95 can. Just as Windows 3.1x needs to be reset after a video resolution change, Microsoft Bob needs to be reset as well.

Microsoft Bob -- close programs before exiting "Close all programs before exiting."
While not really an "error" in the literal sense, if you have one or more "Bob" programs open, such as Bob Checkbook, you cannot exit Microsoft Bob until all its application programs are closed first.
